Warli Art

Warli art is the art form of tribals of Maharashtra. This art form depicts the social life of the tribals using simple figures. This is a traditionally done using rice flour as paint and painted on cow-dung processed surfaces which means the painting consists of just 2 colours - brown and white.

For a change, I created the painting using 4 colours.

Here is the first glass painting I created!!! It was made using solvent-based glass colours.

And another one – one of my most favourite paintings – Marlyn Monroe ; I used solvent-based glass colours for this as well – but with a difference – I used an adhesive as a base coat to create an emboss effect.

I fondly call this 'Ullathai Allitha' Ramba..!!!

Another glass painting – again one of my favourites – I accidentally discovered how elegant mixing of colours can get !!! especially the effect created in the mermaids wings –I just let the violet, white colours flow and blend by themselves and it created a lovely effect !!
