Warli Art

Warli art is the art form of tribals of Maharashtra. This art form depicts the social life of the tribals using simple figures. This is a traditionally done using rice flour as paint and painted on cow-dung processed surfaces which means the painting consists of just 2 colours - brown and white.

For a change, I created the painting using 4 colours.

This Warli is the cover page of my Indian Art Portfolio - I also used it as a watermark on my wedding card cover.

This is a new venture - a navadhanya warli - the warli is centered inside a sun structure - it is formed using the navadhanyams and they r arranged in the order in which the navagrahas are arranged in any Shiva temple..
